About Me
My name is Francesca Grundy MA, MSt (Oxon.), PGCE, Dip. Couns. and I am the founder of North Manchester Counselling.
In addition to my rewarding work with adults, I have 20 years' experience working with young people and am an active volunteer with SHOUT, the text crisis service. I work part time as a mental health and wellbeing worker and have over two years' experience of working with neuro-typical and neuro-diverse young people.
I believe in the healing, transformative power of therapy and will accompany you on your journey, however dark and difficult it may feel at times.
I offer all prospective clients a free, confidential 15 minute 'getting to know you' call.

Person-Centred
I prioritise your unique experiences and feelings, tailoring support to your needs. I enjoy utilising tools from art therapy, psychodynamic therapy and CBT where helpful.

I offer in-person and online sessions for your convenience and comfort. In person sessions are currently offered in my therapy room in Prestwich.
My preference is for in-person sessions as I believe that is where genuine warmth and human connection can be formed.
I am a body-positive, neuro-sensitive therapist and will strive to make you feel seen, heard and accepted as you are.

Qualified
I studied at the University of Oxford at undergraduate and graduate level and have a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I develop my knowledge continually to support you.
I continue to be inspired by the work of Carl Rogers, the founder of Person-Centred Counselling.
Ethical
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I adhere to their ethical code. I attend individual and group supervision on a monthly basis to ensure I am working safely and ethically.
In Person Sessions
My preference is for in-person sessions as it can help to create an atmosphere of warmth and genuine connection. These take place in my therapy room in Prestwich.
£50 for 60 mins (adults and teens)
Online Sessions
For those who do not live in North Manchester or cannot attend in-person sessions.
£50 for 60 minutes (adults and teens)
Text Support
Where it is deemed safe and appropriate, text support may be offered to teenage clients and/or those neurodivergent clients for whom it may be beneficial.
£30 for 45 minutes (teens and/or neurodivergent adults)
